Dennis Norkiewicz,DDS
Dr. Norkiewicz
is a renowned cosmetic and restorative dental specialist
who has provided restorative and dental implant services to
the
Washington DC Area's
elite and business professionals since 1999.
Reputed for his combination of artistic and technical
expertise, he is a master at restoring individual teeth and
creating beautiful and natural
looking smiles. Dr. Norkiewicz performs all phases of dentistry
including crowns, dental implants, root canals, extractions, invisalign
and TMJ treatment.
Christina Platia, DDS
Prior to joining the practice as an associate dentist, Dr. Platia was fortunate
to have received a solid clinical and educational background. A native
Washingtonian, Dr. Platia grew up in Chevy Chase, MD and graduated from Stone Ridge School of the Sacred
Heart. From there, she attended Northwestern University where she obtained her BA in
Biology, and went on to receive her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland Dental School,
the first dental school in the world. She then completed a one year
hospital-based General Practice Residency at Christiana Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware. She trained under a host of
renowned specialists, but focused on honing her skills in all fields of
dentistry, especially implant restoration, and learning to manage the
medically-compromised patient.
During her time at the University of Maryland, Dr. Platia
received many honors and awards. She is a member of the Gamma Pi Delta
Prosthodontic Honor Society, the Ferdinand J.S. Gorgas Odontological Honorary
Society, and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Upon
graduation, she was awarded the Dean's Award for Community Service, the American
Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Award, the International College of Dentists Leadership Award, and
the Psi Omega Dental Fraternity Award for Scholastic Achievement.
In her
spare time, Dr. Platia enjoys spending time with her husband, playing tennis and
swimming, and trying her hand at cooking. She is an avid sports fan, and
particularly enjoys following college football as well as the Orioles, Ravens,
Redskins, and Capitals.
