Your First Appointment

MY FIRST APPOINTMENT - WHAT TO EXPECT?

We welcome you to our office and are happy to have the opportunity to serve you. We pride ourselves on trying to make dentistry a pleasant experience for everyone.

Initially, we will treat any existing dental problems. However, our goal is also PREVENTION - controlling the process of tooth decay and gum disease. This can be achieved through your interest and cooperation, along with our guidance.

If you have insurance:

Our receptionist will copy your insurance card and take all your insurance information.

Our procedure for new patients is as follows:

1. Acquainting the patient with our office and staff.
2. Visual examination of the mouth.
3. Taking only the necessary x-rays with the latest in digital radiography (90% less radiation!). If x-rays have been taken within the last year, please obtain a copy of the them from your previous dentist for our records.
4. Some patients will receive diagnostic photographs with the latest in digital photography, as well as, diagnostic models to help evaluate their condition.
5. Cleaning of all your teeth.
6. A diagnosis will be made and a treatment plan will be discussed with you. A fee estimate will be determined and financial arrangements made, along with appointments to begin treatment.

Once your entire treatment is completed, our patients are entered into our continuing care program and will be scheduled at the appropriate time for a follow-up maintenance visit.
