What is a Prosthodontist?

A Prosthodontist specializes in that part of dentistry pertaining to the restoration and maintenance of oral function, comfort, appearance and health by the replacement of missing teeth and tissues with artificial substitutes such as crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures, and implant prostheses.  Prosthodontics is the true art of restoring teeth to look as natural as nature intended them to be.

Prosthodontists are diagnostic and treatment planning experts who commonly deal with complex cases, and coordinate referrals to other dentists as needed.  The correct working of a person's bite and jaw (TMJ) joint are also in their area of expertise.

Dr. Sinada's Bio

Dr. Ghassan Sinada is one of the field’s premier maxillofacial prosthodontists.  He completed his training in Houston, Texas at University of Texas Health Science Center M.D. Anderson and Tumor Institute and trained under the top world renowned maxillofacial prosthodontists.  His specific area of expertise is dental implants, dentures and crowns and bridges replacing most, if not all of the dentition.

In addition to Dr. Sinada’s private practice, he serves as a Staff Prosthodontist at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
